PEB Project of the Year
This award is open to pre-engineered building (PEB) design and manufacturers in terms of quality and value-engineering. The jury will consider those buildings that have been efficiently designed and are lighter than the conventional steel buildings by up to 30%. Lighter weight equates to less steel and a potential price savings in structural framework. The project must have met deadlines withstanding all challenges, achieved highest quality of construction, safety, and project management.

Some of the criteria to judge the PEB projects are:

Ability to span long distances: Clear spans up to 60m without internal columns, a cost-effective structure.
Flexibility in building dimensions: Tailor made structure enables optimisation of cost without undue spending on heavy structure without the need for the same.
Easy expansion: In case of well defined plan in advance, it is possible to have expandable frames which will provide for future expansion, thereby allowing cost spreading over a longer period.
Maintenance-free exteriors: Leakage-proof Roofing and Cladding made from 550 mpa high tensile steel coated with zinc, aluminium and silicon alloy (galvalume sheets) for maintenance free exteriors. Also the structure is coated with high quality protective coatings to ensure long maintenance-free interiors and exteriors.
Design accuracy: Designing and drafting is carried out on sophisticated software to ensure accuracy of design, development and execution.
Stringent Quality Assurance standards: Following a Quality System in place for design, production and erection.
Faster project execution: The concept of Pre-engineered Building is based on use of Standards. Right from design to manufacturing to erection, standardisation of activities make it faster to execute a project faster by 30% of the time it takes to execute a conventional engineering project.
Adherence to international standards: Building designed and manufactured in accordance with internationally accepted standards and codes.

However, we request the PEB manufacturers to seek assistance from their respective developer/client to nominate the PEB manufacturer/fabricator for the award.

Companies will also be screened on wide range of structural designs; range of industrial and commercial constructions; material used; lasting value; durability; and designs.

Residential Project of the Year
This award is open to developers for outstanding residential projects. The judges will be looking at how the project demonstrates uniqueness in approach and how the build demonstrates achievement through the selection of innovative design and good project execution methodology.

In this category, the Jury will look for the quality of initial design, the development, and the site on which it is located.
Efficient use of the available space, innovation of design and creative use of space, height and materials to provide a quality of construction and finish that display both design and workmanship attributes will also be considered.

The concepts of energy efficiency in both design and function of the addition are important and this could include the orientation, minimal use of western and southern facing glazed areas, and also wall/ceiling insulation. The final important factor is the value for money within the category itself. Roads & Highways Project of the Year
This award is open to roads and highway projects across the country that has had a considerable impact on the economy and transport infrastructure in the region. Focus would be on timely completion, quality of construction, social and economic impact, sustainable construction practices, and challenges encountered and overcome successfully.

All other things being equal, stronger, longer lasting, less costly highway materials are desirable and, given the quantities involved, there are plenty of incentives for innovation.
Environmental, community, and safety requirements have become more stringent. For many good reasons, expectations of what a highway should be, how it should operate, and how it should interact with the environment and adjacent communities are constantly evolving. Designs to promote safety, measures to mitigate a growing list of environmental impacts, and attention to aesthetics have fundamentally changed the scope of major highway projects.

Costs continue to rise. Building and maintaining highways cost effectively is an ever-present goal of good engineering. But cost increases in highway construction have been extraordinary due in part to the expanded scope of highway projects and construction in demanding settings. In addition, the costs of the mainstay materials—Portland cement, asphalt binder, and steel—have risen dramatically as the world has gone on a construction binge.
There will be awards for two winners in this category: Companies with revenue of Rs 1,000 crore and less; companies with revenue of more than Rs 1,001 crore.
